My friend Derrick Spruill was there, start to finish, when Ash Avildsen and his merry bunch of filmmakers rolled into Louisville to tell the story of the legend Mildred Burke. He had all access to the cast from pre-production (including training at OVW) through the final wrap, and he captured the spirit of that production beautifully.
