Kelly Klein was one of the first wrestlers I ever profiled on this blog. Sine that time, when she was known as Mary Elizabeth Monroe, she has risen to become one of the top stars in ROH’s Women of Honor promotion. While the WWE continues to push the narrative that they invented the women’s wrestling revolution, it is women like Kelly Klein who have truly led the charge for women’s wrestling to earn equal respect with the men. She’s beautiful, she’s technically sound, and she has one of the sharpest wrestling minds in the world.
I asked Kelly to submit one of her favorite matches of the year a week or so ago. As fate would have it, the day I had scheduled to release her Best of 2016 installment, ROH came through and posted one of the matches she is most proud of. Here’s this week’s Women of Honor Wednesday match featuring Kelly Klein vs. ODB.
First off… I know, I’ve been slacking. I posted once between the last KOAT podcast update and now. It’s a great article about New Origins Wrestling, if you haven’t seen it. But I haven’t posted anything else.
Truth be told, last weekend I met with a former WWF star who has an amazing story to tell. Won’t say more until it’s a signed deal, but it looks like I will be assisting with an amazing autobiography in 2017.
The gang at Kick Out at Two is never slacking, and this weekend, they are joined by Michael Elgin. Elgin is signed with New Japan and Ring of Honor and can be seen all over the indies. He’s one of the top names to know if you’re looking for something beyond WWE and proof that no matter how many names the WWE signs, the indies are only getting started in their revival.

With over 50+ episodes released, the Kick Out at Two has yet to have a female guest. That changes in a big way starting this week in what Bonnaroo Brittany has declared to be, “No Guys November.”
Their first guest this month is a great one too. Kelly Klein was one of my first interviews here on Eat Sleep Wrestle, and she’s gone on to become one of the driving forces for ROH’s Women of Honor division.
Kelly is the total package: an athletic woman with a solid work ethic and a an incredible mind for the business. She’s been trained by the very best, and it shows in everything she does in the ring. Kelly is a true star and a name you need to know.
Listen to Kelly and the gang by downloading the podcast from iTunes of Soundcloud. And if you like the show, pick up a T-shirt. The new design (see below) is now available on Teespring.
On the Halloween edition of the Kick Out at Two Podcast, Righteous Jesse and the gang welcome 17 year veteran Spyder Nate Webb to the show.
The Indianapolis native has worked with numerous promotions over the years including CZW, IWA Mid-South, and Ring of Honor.
“At the end of the podcast he basically cuts a promo on the fact that he has to go to court for being a good civilian,” says Righteous Jesse. “It’s amazing.”

Continuing a series leading up to PWF: The Primus a week from tonight in Jeffersonville, today’s post comes courtesy of Righteous Jesse from the Kick Out at Two Podcast, who writes this report on Aaron Williams’ first round foe, Jason “The Gift” Kincaid.
Going into The Primus Jason Kincaid is someone to keep your eyes on. Probably the most unorthodox wrestler on this card. The list of names Kincaid has defeated speaks for itself, ranging from Kyle O’reilly to Matt Hardy. Kincaid is a man who has held several championships and knows that he may have the advantage being so different.
There’s a reason he was featured in Ring Of Honor’s top prospect tournament and made it so far. He’s one of the best wrestlers out today. With a very different style, a nice bit of experience, and an unbelievable amount of determination Jason “the gift” Kincaid could very well walk out the new Pro Wrestling Freedom champion at the Primus on September 9th.
Last week word broke that Crazy Mary Dobson, the cover girl on Eat Sleep Wrestle, has signed with the WWE. She might not be the only wrestler from that book cover headed to a major promotion.
Eagle-eyed fans, especially those from Ohio, may have recognized a certain security team member on TNA recently. Aaron Williams, the Baddest Man Alive, not only got some TV time, he got a dark match at the recently revamped promotion and left a good impression with the new management.
“Things at Impact went well,” he says. “Got a lot of good feed back! Everyone I met was very polite and I expect be go back in the future.”
After his injury hiatus in 2015, Williams has been on a tear. He won the Rockstar Pro Championship for the third time. He’s faced several dream opponents, including Sami Calihan, Raymond Rowe, Ricky Shane Page, Al Snow, and Ken Anderson. And he is especially proud to now be a full-fledged member of the Midwest’s most dangerous faction: Ohio is 4 Killers.
Williams is facing Jason “The Gift” Kincaid in the first round of the Primus tournament, and Williams can’t wait to step in the ring with the Ring of Honor star. “I do pretty well in tournaments, and I thrive in that kind of thing. I also don’t really feel like I’ve shown the fans of Pro Wrestling Freedom what I’m capable of, but winning the PWF championship will take care of that for me. As far as Jason Kincaid goes I’m very excited to go one on one with him! It’s kinda a ‘gift’ from PWF to me cause once I beat him in my mind I’ve already won this tournament. Kincaid is as good as it gets once I beat him it’s smooth sailing.”
Will OI4K claim another title? Find out on September 9 in Jeffersonville when Pro Wrestling Freedom presents The Primus.
This week the Kick Out at Two Podcast presents Georgia-based wrestler Kyle Matthews. Matthews is a 5’7″ cruiserweight with eleven years experience in the indies. He’s a mainstay in the Southeast but has also appeared in CHIKARA and Ring of Honor.

Righteous Jesse, Wilkman, and Britt are getting ready for next weekend’s Scenic City Invitational in Chattanooga, and this week’s episode will get you ready with two featured guests.
Ace Rockwell is a 6′ native of North Carolina. The 13 year veteran is a regular for Empire Wrestling but has traveled all over the country.
Jimmy Rave is the current GWC Champion with Atlanta Wrestling Entertainment. Trained by Murder One, Rave has worked for TNA and Ring of Honor and is currently signed with Global Force. He’s a favorite of the KOAT crew, and both he and Rockwell are entered in the 16-man Scenic City tournament August 5-6.

The independent wrestling scene is not what it once was. Only a handful of guys are making top money, and most are working shoot jobs just to get by.
Brutal Bob Evans has been a part of that scene for a long time. He knows what it takes to make it. He also knows you don’t have to be in the “$100 Grand” club to do it full-time and support your family.
There are many wrestlers training other wrestlers how to work in the ring, but Brutal Bob wants to train them how to work outside the ring. He wants wrestlers to know how to not only make money, but spend it wisely. Simply put, you can’t live like Ric Flair, spending your entire paycheck on wine, women, and food. You have to be smart about your money and take care of your family.
“When wrestling isn’t viable anymore, your significant other will be there for you,” Bob wrote on Facebook last week. “So, protect home. To do this, you must make wrestling a viable option financially. Not immediately, because that’s not realistic. But as soon as you can, practice the business of wrestling.
Again, I’m a firm believer that wrestling can be an art and a business.
“You don’t have to make $1 million either. Think about the stress reduction when you come home with grocery money for the week. When you come home with a car payment. When you come home with half the rent money. This is a very reasonable and realistic goal. A few tweaks and your deep in the business of wrestling.
“If we want to have our head in the clouds, we also have to have our feet on the ground.”
Bob’s training class teaches wrestlers how to be smart about money. He gives common sense advice on everything from travel expenses to self-promotion. With some careful planning and a lot of discipline, wrestlers can leave their shoot jobs behind, pursue their dreams full-time, and take care of their families.
Students of Bob’s workshops are already seeing results, even a few weeks in. In fact it was a testimonial from Kerry Awful of Team IOU on Facebook that bought the workshop to my attention.
“After the weekend I’ve continued to follow his posts and apply the things that I feel work for us. We’ve branded more tshirts, cut costs where we could, and did the drives with a little bit different view point on saving money. This last weekend between merch, work, and after expenses — it was pretty damn cool to see we’ve made more money to invest back into ourselfs and our brand that aren’t coming out of pocket but are its own self sustained thing.
“I don’t think I would have felt the same way or understood this a few months back.”
There’s a reason guys like Lord Leslie Carlton and Baron Leone retired as millionaires. They saved more than they earned. They shared rides and hotel rooms. They traveled with a loaf of bread and a pack of bologna. They invested what they earned so they could retire in style.
Brutal Bob’s workshop is a must for any aspiring professional wrestler today. Regardless of how high you may rise in today’s wrestling scene, Bob’s class will teach you how to make the most of those tiny pay offs so that you AND your family will come out ahead.
As Bob says, “Protect home. Do business. Be business.”
For information on Bob’s workshops, follow him on Twitter and on Facebook. If you dream of being a full-time wrestler, this is a workshop that can change your career and your life. You need to Hang with Bob!
Mark Vital isn’t the first man to wear hot pink to the ring, but he wears it exceptionally well. The East Coast wrestling star with feather boas and flamboyant style is already a decorated champion and he’s just getting started.
Like most wrestlers, Vital grew up a fan. He played with the WWF Wrestling Buddies (including Hulk Hogan), and he was drawn to the more colorful superstars of the era including Shawn Michaels, Ravishing Rick Rude, Macho Man Randy Savage, The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Dusty Rhodes.
Vital trained with “Showtime” Shane Black, who was in turn trained by the Wild Samoans. He’s already had one of his dream matches, having faced one of his current heroes AJ Styles, but he has his sights set on the son of one of his all time favorites. “My current dream match, would have to be against Stardust, I think honestly with our two gimmicks would put on a great show!”
Vital has amassed a number of titles including the GSW Adrenaline Championship (3 times), the PCWA Tag Titles, the GSW Tag Titles, the PPW Television Championship, the NEWF Young Guns Championship, the PPW Tag Championship, and The ICWF Northeast Championship. He travels any place he can get booked but has a regular circuit throughout New York and Pennsylvania including Pennsylvania Premier Wrestling (Hazleton, PA), True Wrestling (Berwick), Phoenix Pro Wrestling (Altoona), WXWC4 (Allentown) Grand slam Wrestling (Moosic), Dynasty Pro Wrestling (Albany, New York), Fundraiser Pro Wrestling (Lodi, NJ), and PCWA (Shamokin, PA).
Vital would love to get a shot at NXT and the WWE, but he’s hardly a WWE or bust guy. If Impact, Lucha Underground, Ring of Honor, or Global Force came calling, Vital would be there, feather boas and pink tights in hand.
