It was my honor and pleasure to be in the house at Davis Arena on April 2. On that night, the masked SUPER Z made his debut.
For weeks, fans were wondering what would become of the “demon possessed” wrestler ZDP. For nearly two years, he served the forces of darkness as a member of The Fallen. After multiple shots to the head and a devastating match against Shane Mercer, Zach D. Pittman awoke from his possession and seemed clear of mind.
Except, of course, for all that talk about super strength.
After witnessing some wrongdoing backstage, Zach promised that “someone” would set things right. Moments later, Super Z made his way to the ring.
Here’s the cool part, though. The fans didn’t let it go. Multiple times throughout the night, chants of “Super Z!” and “We Want Super Z!” broke out.
The “new” guy is over.
I was there several years ago when Zach Pittman was getting his start. The fresh-faced blonde kid sat across from me near ringside at The Arena in Jeffersonville and told me the story of why he wanted to be a wrestler.
I’m not saying this super hero is the same guy. (Okay, maybe I am.) But if it is, I am very proud of him and wish him all the best!
